About

A small Nakuru business built on straightforward dealings

We opened in 2018 with two staff and a single principle: do the work you say you will do, at the price you quoted.

Who we are and what we actually do

Betaqpulse provides appointment coordination, local business support, and everyday products to households and small enterprises in Nakuru, Kenya.

Betaqpulse started in 2018 when two Nakuru residents noticed a gap: local households and sole traders frequently needed short-run, practical help — scheduling, administrative support, product sourcing — but the options available were either over-priced city-based agencies or informal arrangements with no accountability. We built something in between: a properly run small business, physically present on Kenyatta Avenue, with clear service agreements and itemised billing. Today the team has grown to six people. Each member is a Nakuru resident who has worked in the town for at least three years before joining, so the knowledge of local suppliers, estates, and logistics is genuine rather than assumed. We have served more than 400 individual clients since launch, covering households in Milimani, Kiamunyi, Section 58, and the central business district, as well as small registered enterprises needing defined short-term support. Our repeat-engagement rate — 70 per cent as of the last annual review — tells us that the model is worth continuing without significant change.

How we work — and where we have limits

Understanding our process and our boundaries will help you decide whether we are the right choice for your specific need.

Every engagement follows the same sequence. First, a consultation — free, by phone or in person — where we establish what you need and whether it falls within our scope. Second, a written quote with itemised costs and a realistic completion window. Third, the work itself, with updates if anything material changes. Fourth, a close-out confirmation so you know the task is finished and nothing is outstanding. We do not carry out electrical, structural, or medical work of any kind. We do not operate outside Nakuru town and its immediate surrounding estates. We do not offer guaranteed outcomes on tasks that depend on third-party decisions — for instance, liaison with a government office — because those timelines are outside our control. What we can guarantee is that we will be honest with you about what is and is not likely, and that any cost will be agreed before it is incurred. If a request is outside our competency, we say so directly and refer you where we can.

The values that guide day-to-day decisions

These are not aspirational statements — they are the criteria we apply when a situation does not have an obvious answer.

Clarity over cleverness

We write quotes, confirmations, and updates in plain language. If you need to read something twice to understand what you are agreeing to, we have not done our job.

Commitments are kept

If we agree to a time or a price, that is what happens. When external factors make it impossible, we communicate early — before the deadline, not after.

Community over volume

We limit intake to what we can handle at the standard we have set. We would rather serve fewer clients well than many clients poorly.

“Betaqpulse handled a supplier follow-up for my hardware shop in Section 58 last October. Two other agencies had given me vague timelines and then gone quiet. Betaqpulse gave me a written update every other day and the issue was resolved in eleven days. That kind of consistency is rare in Nakuru.”
